This year's BBQ was the best OMBA Spring BBQ ever, and that's saying something, since we always put on a good one!  This year we had organized rides: yellow trail ride, blue trail ride, red trail ride, the epic ride, and the 'going big' demo over at the vortex.  OMBA officers passed the torch of Presidency from John Brigan to Renee Blaney, and John was presented with a unique trophy in honor of his years of service.  Renee announced that the Florida Bicycle Association named OMBA the Club of the Year, and VP Gary Hoel as Volunteer of the Year, as well as Valerie Naylor for Trail Manager of the Year.  We had a full campground at Santos for what became an impromptu Fat Tire Festival - complete with campfires, cookouts, and night riding.  To top things off, an impromptu visit by one of IMBA's Trail Care Crews - Nat and Rachel Lopes was an unexpected gift.  We all know how awesome this club and these trails are, but for them to see us at our best, making the full use of our facilities and really partying on is a good thing; a very good thing.

There are many pictures to look at.  Please send any pictures, pictures and captions, or captions you would like included on this page to the Webmaster.  The photos are divided up by activities.  If you want a larger sized picture, we can do that, send send an email to the webmaster and tell him what picture you are looking at and he'll get you the hi res via email.  I sure had tough time hooking up with all the rider groups.  I headed out to catch the Blues on Twister, but I left after waiting 30 minutes to film the red group.  The yellows headed out right as I was taking the Blue group picture.  Next Year... walkie talkies!

Thank You, one and all for making this event such a huge success...  "The Management"
