Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day - 2011

Young riders preparing for TKMBDOn Saturday October 1st 2011, OMBA Bike Patrol together with Greenway Cycles will host young riders, ages 6 to 16+, for a youth mountain biking event.

The ride is part of a nationwide celebration known as Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day, supported by the International Mountain Bicycling Association (IMBA).

OMBA welcomes all riders and their families who want to have a fun day on their bikes and help bring up the next generation of mountain bikers!

 

 

 

Here is everything you need to know:

Registration: Email tkmbd@omba.org and provide the following information
 - Number of riders
 - Age of those attending
 - Rider new to mountain biking or has experience?
Cost: Nothing! This is event is provided by OMBA
What you Need To Bring: Your bike
Helmet
Sun screen lotion
Desire to have fun!!!
Start Time: 9:00 a.m.
Location: Santos Trailhead
3080 SE 80th St. Ocala
Agenda: 8:00 a.m.  - Registration
9:00 a.m.  - Welcome and Review of Bike Safety
9:30 a.m.  - Rider's Bike Checkout
10:00 a.m. - Trail Ride for experienced riders
10:00 a.m. - Off Road riding instructions for new riders (practice skills in pump track area)
11:00 a.m. - Trail Ride for new riders
 1:00 p.m.  - Return back to the trailhead for lunch and gifts
